Escape from Alcatraz is a 1979 prison film starring Clint Eastwood as Frank Morris, a convict who may have pulled off the only successful escape from the notorious Alcatraz prison near San Francisco. It was directed by Don Siegel (Dirty Harry).

M1 Carbine

The guards who man the prison towers in Alcatraz are armed with M1 Carbine rifles. One guard fires his rifle to break up a fight between Frank Morris (Clint Eastwood) and Wolf (Bruce M. Fischer). Another guard is seen taking target practice with his M1.

Reisman (Lee Marvin) and Wladislaw (Charles Bronson) draw and fire their Walther P38s on the guards outside the shelter.
Gunnery Sgt. Highway (Clint Eastwood) demonstrates to Lance Cpl. Frigetti that there's nothing wrong with his AR-15/SP1.
Pvt. "Stitch" Jones (Mario Van Peebles) with his AR-15/SP1 while Highway hassles him over why he's wearing a "piss pot".
Highway fires his AKM at the recruits as they crawl through barbed wire trenches. Clint clearly knows how to fire this rifle, to add.
