Numerous U.S. Air Force soldiers throughout the film use M1 Carbine rifles.

Korean War Era M1 Carbine.

Major Huglin (Donald Curtis) shoots an alien with his M1 Carbine.

Huglin and Dr. Marvin (Hugh Marlowe) and others examine the alien's corpse. The Major still holds his rifle.

Soldiers lie down and shoot at the aliens with their M1 Carbine rifles.

M1 Garand

The guards at Operation Skyhook use M1 Garand rifles. In a blooper, when the soldiers drive up in a Jeep they're holding M1 Carbines. But the shot of them lying down to shoot at the aliens suddenly has them wielding M1 Garands.

Colt Official Police

When Dr. Marvin, his wife Carol, Major Huglin and a policeman are abducted by the aliens, the policeman (Larry J. Blake) is armed with a Colt Official Police revolver. He uses it to uselessly shoot at the aliens who appear on viewscreens after they revealed they've brainwashed General Hanley (Morris Ankrum).

Huglin pulls a Colt Police Positive on Dr. Marvin on the beach.

Lewis Gun

An Air Force plane that engages one of the saucers at one point has a side-mounted Lewis gun which the crew fire at the aliens with.

The truck arrives to combat the flying saucer.
