Downton Abbey is a British television series produced for the ITV broadcaster, with the idea and most of the scripts being written by Julian Fellowes (Tomorrow Never Dies). The series premiered in the United Kingdom on ITV in September of 2010, and in the United States on PBS and aired for 52 episodes until 2015.
