Die Another Day is the 20th film in the official James Bond movie series and marked the 40th anniversary of the premiere of the very first Bond adventure Dr. No. The 2002 sequel follows Bond (Pierce Brosnan) as he investigates a powerful diamond mine owner who appears to have more nefarious plans for his new laser satellite. In the film, Bond is joined by Jinx (Halle Berry), an NSA operative who is running a parallel investigation. Directed by Lee Tamahori, Die Another Day also was the final film to star Brosnan as Bond and the last one before the "reboot" of the series with 2006's Casino Royale. A section loosely based on the movie appears in the 2012 video game 007: Legends.

Pistols
Walther P99
The Walther P99 is once again the sidearm of James Bond (Pierce Brosnan). Another P99 is used by Miranda Frost (Rosamund Pike) when she confronts Bond and Gustav Graves (Toby Stephens). Q (John Cleese) can also be seen using it to fire three shots at a pane of bulletproof glass before testing the high-frequency glass-shattering ring he gives Bond.
Beretta 84FS "Cheetah"
While pursuing Zao in Cuba, Bond encounters an American NSA agent, Giacinta "Jinx" Johnson (Halle Berry) who is also after the Korean assassin. She uses a Beretta 84FS "Cheetah" with wood grips and a matching suppressor to kill one of the doctors at the Isla Los Organos clinic there and to try to kill Zao himself, though only manages to kill several guards instead. She then uses it when she and Bond board Graves' plane, this time without the suppressor.
Beretta 3032 Tomcat
Following Jinx's failure to kill Zao in Cuba, she follows him to Gustav Graves' ice palace to try again, this time armed with a Beretta 3032 Tomcat which has the same features as her previous pistol, with the addition of a laser sight fitted on the grip. Before she can use the weapon however, she is disarmed and captured by Graves.
Stechkin APS
When Bond's helicopter is destroyed after his true identity is revealed in North Korea, Zao (Rick Yune) pulls a Stechkin APS on Bond. Zao later offers to give the pistol to Mr. Kil (Lawrence Makoare) to silence Jinx with at the ice palace, but Mr. Kil declines, opting to use the industrial lasers at the facility instead (an homage to a classic scene from Goldfinger).
M1911A1
While at the Gran Palacio Hotel, one of Mr. Krug's associates can be briefly seen with an M1911A1 pistol.
SIG-Sauer P228
During the training simulation, Charles Robinson (Colin Salmon) uses a SIG-Sauer P228 to aid Bond, but is shot by the terrorists before he can use his weapon.
SIG-Sauer P226
During the training simulation, one of the simulated terrorists can be seen using a SIG-Sauer P226 pistol, holding M hostage at gunpoint with it before being taken out by Bond.
Beretta 92FS
While at the El Gran Palacio Hotel, Bond witnesses a man named Mr. Krug threatening an employee with a Beretta 92FS pistol, waving the weapon about brazenly. One of the guards at the ice palace can also be seen with a 92FS when he catches Bond snooping around following the public demonstration of the Icarus satellite.
Llama Especial
After escaping the British warship, Bond makes his way to a lavish hotel in Hong Kong where a complimentary masseuse calling herself "Peaceful Fountains of Desire" (Rachel Grant) arrives at his room. After letting her in, Bond promptly removes a Llama Especial .22 pistol fitted with ivory grips from a hidden thigh holster.
Makarov PM
The Makarov PM is first seen pulled by one of Bond's teammates during the infiltration of North Korea. Colonel Tan-Sun Moon (Will Yun Lee) can also be seen using one to try to kill Bond when Bond boards his hovercraft during the hovercraft chase in North Korea, but is foiled when Bond uses a bulletproof vest as a shield, knocking the pistol out of his hand. When General Moon (Kenneth Tsang) is shown the plan to use the Icarus satellite to defeat South Korea, the General grabs a Makarov PM from one of the other officers present and threatens to kill Graves if he doesn't stop.
Revolvers
Smith & Wesson Model 10 HB
When Bond arrives in Havana, he meets with Raoul (Emilio Echevarría), manager of a cigar factory and a British sleeper agent to determine Zao's whereabouts. During their initial conversation, one of Raoul's men is carrying a Smith & Wesson Model 10 HB revolver. In the next scene, Raoul lets Bond have the revolver, which he then uses when he infiltrates the clinic in pursuit of Zao. During the ensuing scuffle, Zao manages to get ahold of the revolver, but loses it when an MRI machine is accidentally switched on and yanks it out of his hand, allowing Bond to recover it once the machine is turned back off.
Smith & Wesson New Model No.3
When M (Judi Dench) is talking to NSA director Damian Falco (Michael Madsen) via viewscreen, a Smith & Wesson New Model No.3 revolver with ornate ivory grips can be seen on display on a shelf behind Falco.
Webley Mk VI
When Bond meets M at the abandoned station in London, the two pass by an old shooting range, several Webley Mk VI revolvers seen in the stalls, as well as several spent casings.
Submachine Guns
Ingram MAC-10
Bond can be seen using a MAC-10 fitted with a muzzle shroud when he shoots his way out of Colonel Tan-Sun Moon (Will Yun Lee)'s headquarters and in the following hovercraft chase. He first uses while driving an Osprey 5 Mk. II hovercraft to shoot out the controls on a concrete gate, causing it to slam shut behind him and destroy a pursuing hovercraft, then to set off landmines to destroy two more hovercraft, then finally to kill the driver of Col. Moon's hovercraft.
Heckler & Koch MP5K
Many of the guards at the ice palace can be seen carrying Heckler & Koch MP5Ks with silencers attached, two of which have the silencers and the foregrips removed exposing the barrel, similar to the MP5K's used by Laurence Fishburne in The Matrix Revolutions.
Heckler & Koch MP5SD
During the training simulation, several terrorists can be seen carrying Heckler & Koch MP5SDs.
Rifles
Fake XM29 OICW
In the opening sequence in North Korea, Colonel Moon uses a weapon described as a "new tank buster" to destroy Bond's helicopter, and is also seen firing it at him in the hovercraft chase scene. The mockup is designed to resemble one of the later over-under XM29 OICW prototypes. In reality, the weapon was a Heckler & Koch G36K buried in Hollywood embellishments, with a bullpup-loading upper barrel. Moon claims the upper barrel fires depleted uranium rounds; a Hollywoodism, since DU requires extremely high velocities to be effective, much more than could be attained by an infantry weapon.
Norinco Type 56-1
North Korean soldiers can be frequently seen using Norinco Type 56-1 rifles at the beginning of the film, likely standing in for AKMS rifles.
AKM
The AKM appears fitted with AK-74-style muzzle brakes and side-folding stocks, intended to pass for the AKS-74 (similar to GoldenEye), and is used by North Korean soldiers.

AKS-74U
The AKS-74U carbine can be seen being carried by Bond and his teammates when they infiltrate North Korea, as well as by some of Col. Moon's men.
M16A2
The M16A2 Rifle appears several times in the film; first being carried by South Korean MPs when Bond and Zao are traded, then by U.S. and South Korean troops when the Icarus satellite is destroying the minefield in the demilitarized zone. But the South Korean issued the M16A1 Rifles with M16A2 forward assist or Daewoo K2. It is possible they could be KATUSA (Korean Augmentation Troops to the United States Army) troops, which are South Korean soldiers serving in the U.S. Army using American equipment and some KATUSA MPs wear the South Korean MP brassards and MP helmets.
Heckler & Koch G36V
A Heckler & Koch G36V can be seen being carried by one of Graves' henchmen at the ice palace.
Colt XM177 Commando
When Bond and Jinx arrive in South Korea, several U.S. military personnel in the underground bunker can be seen carrying Colt XM177 Commando carbines.
Accuracy International Arctic Warfare
Bond uses a suppressed Accuracy International Arctic Warfare sniper rifle to try to assassinate Colonel Moon before he enters the plane.
Machine Guns
DShK
Among the weapons on display at Col. Moon's headquarters are several T55 tanks with DShK heavy machine guns mounted atop them.
Browning M2HB (mocked up as North Korean heavy machine gun)
Mounted atop Colonel Moon's largest hovercraft is a Browning M2HB heavy machine gun dressed up as a fictional heavy weapon with a custom muzzle brake, various barrel embellishments and a scope. Colonel Moon uses it during the hovercraft chase in an attempt to kill Bond.
M249 SAW Paratrooper
When Bond and Jinx arrive in South Korea, one of the U.S. soldiers at the base can be briefly seen with a paratrooper version of the M249 SAW.
Daewoo K3
During the hovercraft chase, the soldiers in one of Col. Moon's hovercraft opens fire on Bond with a Daewoo K3 light machine gun that has been fitted with a STANAG magazine instead of being an ammo belt.
GE 134 Minigun
During the car chase in and around the ice palace, Zao can be seen firing on Bond with a GE M134 Minigun on a mounting which rises up from behind the seats of his Jaguar.
Other
Flamethrower
During the hovercraft chase, Col. Moon also uses a flame thrower connected to his hovercraft. The flamethrower appears to be housed in a shotgun-type shell.
Target Seeking Shotguns
Bond's new car in the film, the Aston Martin Vanquish (dubbed by Q as the "Vanish"), is equipped with several weapons, the main ones seen in the film being a pair of fictional target-seeking shotguns mounted in the front wheel wells. When activated, the shotguns automatically detect and engage any incoming projectile, in a fashion similar to a CIWS system on a naval vessel.
Front Machine Guns
The Vanquish also has front machine guns mounted in the grill.
The Gunbarrel
The opening gunbarrel sequence is reused from GoldenEye.
