Dersu Uzala (rus. Дерсу Узала; jap. デルス・ウザーラ) is a 1975 Soviet-Japanese film, directed by Akira Kurosawa. It is based on memoirs of Vladimir Arsenyev, the Russian explorer of the Far East. Dersu Uzala, the native hunter and pathfinder, was a guide for Arsenyev's expeditions in 1902-1907, and they became close friends.

The following weapons were used in the film Dersu Uzala:

Handguns

Nagant M1895

Captain Vladimir Arsenyev (Yuriy Solomin) carries a Nagant M1895 revolver that is seen mostly in holster.

Arsenyev fires his Nagant in air, signalling to his men.

Rifles

Winchester Model 1895

Captain Vladimir Arsenyev (Yuriy Solomin) is armed with a Winchester Model 1895 Russian Contract rifle. Jan Bao (Suymenkul Chokmorov), the leader of Chinese volonteers, and many of his men also carry Winchester Model 1895 rifles.

Winchester Model 1895 Carbine

In the final scene Arsenyev gifts a Winchester Model 1895 Carbine to Dersu Uzala. The rifle is fitted with a fake underbarrel magazine, to make it look like as a Winchester Model 1892/Model 1894. This is presumably the same rifle, which earlier appears in the Businessmen (Delovye lyudi).

Mosin Nagant M1891/30

Russian soldiers, members of Arsenyev's expeditions, are armed with Mosin Nagant M1891/30 rifles (standing for original M1891 rifles).

Berdan Rifle

Dersu Uzala (Maksim Munzuk) is armed with a Berdan No.2 rifle. This gun matches the one that Dersu Uzala carried in real life.

Trivia

During the final scene (set in 1908), a pristav (chief of local police in Russian Empire) (Daniil Netrebin) carries a holster for Luger P08 thought it seems to be empty.
