Deadpool is the 2016 feature film adaptation of the Marvel comic book character created by Fabian Nicieza and Rob Liefeld. Directed by Tim Miller, the film follows Wade Wilson, who after being experimented on and given extremely enhanced healing factor, takes up the alter ego of Deadpool, and uses his prior Special Forces training and his newly acquired powers to hunt down the man who nearly destroyed his life. Ryan Reynolds returns as Deadpool, having previously portrayed a version of the character in 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) can be seen dual-wielding Desert Eagle Mark XIX pistols as his primary firearm, using them to great effect. His Desert Eagles are current-production model Marx XIXs with over-barrel Picatinny-style rails, but not the "teardrop"-style safety (which was re-introduced after Magnum Research had gone to the new-style rail). The Desert Eagles used in the films are chambered in .50 AE based on shots of the shell casings (with .50 AE clearly visible). Strangely, they are apparently not fully loaded, as he states he has "12 bullets" in the highway fight, meaning 6 rounds per gun while DE handguns in .50 AE holds 7+1 rounds. Also, at another noteworthy point, the shell casings of the ammunition are marked with the number of the round spent.
