Dead or Alive (Hanzaisha) (1999)

Dead or Alive is an ultra-violent Yakuza direct-to-video film. Dead or Alive is the first of 3 films in the trilogy. Each film has nothing in common except for the fact they are directed by Takashi Miike and star Riki Takeuchi and Sho Aikawa as the two leads.

Chen (Shingo Tsurumi) uses a MAC-11 to massacre the party guests - .380 ACP

A weird shot of Chen's MAC-11 showing that the flash does not match the barrel of the gun, leaving one to believe that the weapon is a Japanese 'blowback' non-gun, firing their proprietary blanks, and that the flash has been added in later in post production.

M136 AT4

An M136 AT4 launcher with a custom front sight is inexplicably used by Detective Jojima (hidden under his jacket).

M136 AT4 Anti-Tank rocket launcher - 84mm

Missing his arm from a violent car crash, Japanese Police Detective Jojima (Shô Aikawa) manages to unveil an M136 AT4 launcher from under his jacket, a strange scene which has caused much discussion amongst movie goers - 84mm

Dazed and bloody Detective Jojima (Shô Aikawa) aims his AT4 at Ryuichi, who has his own 'surprise' in store for the detective.
