Days of the Turbins (Dni Turbinykh) is a 1976 Soviet three-part movie directed by Vladimir Basov. The movie is based on the play by Mikhail Bulgakov. The story takes place during the Russian Civil War in the city of Kiev. The main characters of the movie are the family of Turbins: Colonel Aleksei Turbin (Andrey Myagkov), his younger brother Nikolai (Andrei Rostotsky) and sister Yelena (Valentina Titova).

A Colt M1911 pistol is the personal weapon of Colonel Aleksei Turbin (Andrey Myagkov). In reality a large number of M1911s were purchased by the Russian Army in 1916, but the movie prop is most likely an M1911A1.
