Dark Blue is a 2002 crime thriller directed by Ron Shelton (Hollywood Homicide) and starring Kurt Russell as a third generation detective with the Special Investigation Section of the LAPD who investigates a quadruple homicide on the eve of the L.A. Riots in 1992. The screenplay was written by David Ayer (Training Day) from a story by James Ellroy (L.A. Confidential).
