D.O.A. (1988)

D.O.A. (aka Dead on Arrival) is a 1988 thriller that stars Dennis Quaid as Dexter Cornell, a college professor who has 36 hours to find out who poisoned him before he dies. The film is based on the 1950 film noir of the same name.

Later, Dexter Cornell (Dennis Quaid) takes the gun and uses it for the remainder of the film.
