Criminal Minds - Season 5 (2009-2010)

Handguns

Glock 17

Third-Generation Glock 17 pistols are carried by Supervisory Special Agent Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore) and B.A.U. (Behavior Analysis Unit) Chief SSA Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson). Morgan carries his Glock 17 with a Streamlight TLR-2 weaponlight/laser module. Other FBI agents and some police officers are seen with Glock 17 pistols. Member's of Sam Cooper's team also carry Glock 17 pistols. Hotcher notably uses it in the episode "100" (5x09) in an attempt to gun down George Foyet (AKA 'The Boston Reaper').

Glock 19

SSA Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster) uses a Third-Generation Glock 19 as her sidearm. Also carried by various police officers.

Glock 26

A Glock 26 pistol is the duty weapon of the B.A.U.'s 'Communications Liaison' SSA Jennifer 'J.J.' Jareau (A.J. Cook). The Glock 26 is also the backup weapon carried by both Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson) and Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore), both carried in ankle holsters. Hotchner uses his Glock 26 in "100" after his Glock 17 runs dry (and is also knocked away before he can reload it).

Springfield Armory TRP

SSA David Rossi (Joe Mantegna) carries a Springfield Armory TRP, a model of which is used by the FBI's elite HRT, throughout the series, this suggests he may have been HRT/SWAT trained to use this weapon. Rossi also has a background of serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, which also possibly helps explain his use of a 1911-type pistol.

Springfield Armory TRP - .45 ACP.

Smith & Wesson Model 65

Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) carries as his main weapon a 3" barrel Smith & Wesson Model 65 with wood-colored grips. He carries his sidearm in a very frontal appendix-carry (as he also did with his previous Glock 17), a manner in-which a militia leader once said "The way you wear that gun - you're just beggin' someone to take it off of ya." In addition, he carries the double action revolver in a holster that does not cover the trigger guard, something that is not generally advisable. Reid notably uses it in "Nameless, Faceless" (5x01) to shoot Patrick Meyers (Michael Adler) when he raises his gun back up (after having previously lowered it).

Smith & Wesson Model 36

Standard J-frame Smith & Wesson Model 36 revolvers are used by numerous unsubs (short for 'unknown-subjects') throughout the show. A Deputy Sheriff in Terlingua, Texas uses a Model 36 in the episode "Rite of Passage" (5x19).

Smith & Wesson Model 629 V-Comp

Identified as a .44 Magnum, a Smith & Wesson Model 629 V-Comp is used as the weapon of choice for George Foyet aka 'The Boston Reaper' (C. Thomas Howell), an infamous serial killer and the nemesis of Agent Hotchner (Thomas Gibson). It is seen in the opening episode "Faceless, Nameless" during flashbacks of the conclusion of the previous Season 4 two-part finale "To Hell... And Back".

Beretta 92FS

Beretta 92FS pistols are used by many characters, including criminals and police officers.

M1911A1

Various M1911A1 pistols are seen several times throughout the series. In the episode "100" (5x09), George Foyet/'The Reaper' (C. Thomas Howell) uses an M1911A1 to shoot U.S. Marshal Sam Kassmeyer (D.B. Sweeney) several times when interrogating him on the location of Hotchner's wife & child, as well as fatally shooting Hotchner's wife when he finally finds them. He also fires it several times at Hotchner while fighting with him, but misses him. A stainless 1911 pistol is wielded by an unsub in "The Fight" (5x18).

Rifles

AR-15/M4 Carbine Variants

Throughout the series, FBI SWAT and several local police tactical units carry M4A1 carbines, both standard models and variants with various accessories. An M4 carbine is used by Deputy Ronald Boyd when he attacks the team at the end of "Rite of Passage".

Submachine Guns

Heckler & Koch MP5A3

Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore) and David Rossi (Joe Mantegna) use Heckler & Koch MP5A3s with dedicated SureFire lights in "Rite of Passage" (5x19). They deploy them because the region of Texas they are traveling to is close to the Mexico-U.S. border, and since there is a high possibility of armed attack (because drug and alien-smuggling cartels directly target and place bounties on U.S. law enforcement agents, especially Federal agents), they may need the additional firepower.

Because the cartel targets feds as well, Morgan decides to bring out the 'toys' - the Heckler & Koch MP5A3 - in "Rite of Passage" (S5E19). He is seen here attaching the SureFire light.

Sniper Rifles

SVD Dragunov

In the episode "The Fight" (5x18), FBI SSA Mick Rawson (Matt Ryan) takes aim with a SVD Dragunov sniper rifle fitted with a scope and bipod. The rifle is an unusual choice for an American federal agent (however, it's mentioned that Rawson is former British SAS).
