Criminal Minds is an American crime procedural series that focuses on an elite team of FBI profilers in the Bureau's Behavior Analysis Unit. In each episode, these agents of the BAU focus on the behavior of the criminal (who is commonly referred to in the series as an "Unsub" or "Unknown Subject") rather than strictly on the crime. The series premiered in 2005 in the US on CBS and has aired for 9 seasons. A spinoff, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior aired for one season in 2011.
