The following guns were used in the film Cowboys & Aliens:
Remington 1858 New Army
Wes Claiborne (Buck Taylor) carries a Remington 1858 New Army and tries unsuccessfully to defend himself with it.
Colt 1860 Army
Jake (Daniel Craig) carries a Colt 1860 Army converted to fire metallic cartridges. It is a very early conversion because it still has the loading lever attached. Ella Swenson (Olivia Wilde) also appears to carry one.
Colt Single Action Army "Cavalry" model
Many characters probably carry Single Action Armies, but from the trailer we can see that Colonel Woodrow Dolarhyde (Harrison Ford) carries a nickel-plated model with 7.5" barrel and ivory grips.
Colt 1878 Double Barreled Shotgun
A double barreled shotgun is wielded at the beginning by the Claibornes who come upon a disoriented Jake Lonergan (Daniel Craig). He relieves them of it and turns it upon them. It can also be seen being used by Dolarhyde (Harrison Ford) during the attack on the town of Absolution.
Winchester Model 1866 "Yellow Boy"
Jake takes a deputy's 1866 and turns it on the posse. It appears to be a saddle-ring carbine.
Spencer 1860 Carbine
A Spencer 1860 Carbine is used by both the preacher Meacham (Clancy Brown) and then passed on to Doc (Sam Rockwell).
Smith & Wesson Schofield Model 3
A member of Jake's former gang carries a Smith & Wesson Schofield Model 3. Doc later takes it and uses it as his sidearm.
