Con Air (1997)

Con Air is a 1997 American action film starring Nicolas Cage as a former US Army Ranger who after serving his time in prison for a fight that resulted in a death, finds himself on a prison plane that has been skyjacked by the other convicts aboard. The following weapons were used in the film Con Air:

Handguns

SIG-Sauer P226

The prison guards, U.S. Marshals and DEA agents arm themselves with SIG-Sauer P226 pistols. The convicts also use several P226s captured from the guards, most notably Cyrus "The Virus" Grissom (John Malkovich) who takes the pistol from the co-pilot (Martin McSorley) and uses it for much of the film.

Cyrus "The Virus" Grissom (John Malkovich) points his captured P226 at the pilot (Fredric Lehne).
Cyrus points the P226 at Guard Falzon (Steve Eastin).
Cyrus fires the P226.
Deputy US Marshal Starkey (Dylan Haggerty) at the airport readies his P226 when informed the plane guards are disguised convicts.
Nathan "Diamond Dog" Jones (Ving Rhames) holds the SIG-Sauer "gangsta"-style.
Nathan "Diamond Dog" Jones (Ving Rhames) dual-wields SIG-Sauer pistols.
DEA Agent Duncan Malloy (Colm Meaney) opens fire with his SIG-Sauer.

Colt Woodsman "Assassin" Model

One of cartel members (Thomas Rosales Jr.) carries a Colt Woodsman with both modified slide and barrel to thread a suppressor, commonly known as the "Assassin" model. Cameron Poe (Nicolas Cage) comments that the convicts would hear the shot, so he threads a suppressor on it. When Poe dispatches all the cartel members, he takes the gun for his own use, before dropping it diving from an explosion.

Rubber M16 prop

When Cyrus throws down his empty M16A2, it changes to a rubber prop featuring the M16A1 sights and lacking a forward assist, shell deflector, and magazine fencing. This means that the prop was mostly likely cast from a civilian AR-15 Sporter-1 rifle fitted with M16A2 handguard.

The rubber M16 prop bounces on the floor.

When Cyrus (John Malkovich) takes the guns out of the weapons hold, a few of convicts are seen using DefTech 1315 launchers, inaccurately portrayed as HE grenade launchers.
