Combat Hospital is a Canadian-produced medical drama about the military hospital at the Kandahar Air Field in Afghanistan. Set in 2006, the series currently airs on Global Television in Canada and ABC in the United States.
The following weapons are featured in Combat Hospital:
Handguns
Inglis Hi-Power
The Inglis Hi-Power is the standard sidearm for all Canadian Forces medical personnel, and are often seen in their leg holsters. Hospital commander Colonel Xavier Marks (Elias Koteas) uses a Hi-Power to shoot a snake in the operating room during episode 1, and Major Rebecca Gordon (Michelle Borth) fires her Hi-Power when she encounters a camel spider in the shower during episode 3. Gordon also uses the Hi-Power in the season finale to wound a gunman who attacks the women's clinic in Kandahar City.
Beretta 92FS "Non Gun"
A gunman who attacks the women's clinic in the season finale (episode 1.13) uses a Beretta 92FS Non Gun.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5KA4
A CIA agent in episode 1.13 holds a MP5KA4 with a red dot sight while escorting an asset to the hospital.
Rifles
Colt Canada C7A2 (Airsoft Replica)
Colt Canada C7A2 rifles with foregrips are used by Canadian soldiers throughout the series, including Regimental Sergeant Major Graham Kelly (Gord Rand) in episode 1 and MPs in episodes 3 and 9. Closer inspection reveals the rifles to be Classic Army airsoft replicas, modified with the addition of M4-style collapsible stocks and Elcan sights to resemble the C7A2.
Colt Canada C8A3
Col. Marks is also seen with a Colt Canada C8A3 carbine while riding a bike around the base in episode 4, and during a mortar attack in episode 9.
Colt Canada C7A1
A Canadian MP searching for an escaped detainee in episode 9 holds a Colt Canada C7A1.
M4A1 Carbine
The M4A1 Carbine is seen in the hands of American soldiers throughout the series, most notably in the hands of U.S. Air Force Pararescue Jumpers Terrel Ford (Dwain Murphy) and Talwar Mehra (Karan Oberoi).
Steyr AUG
A Steyr AUG rifle, standing in for the F88 Austeyr, is carried by Australian Major Grace Pedersen (Deborah Kara Unger) when she leaves the base to visit the women's clinic in Kandahar City in episodes 2 and 6.
Heckler & Koch G36K
Soldiers from the German contingent at the base are armed with Heckler & Koch G36K rifles.
AK-47
Various Afghan National Army soldiers in episodes 1 and 9 are armed with AK-47 rifles.
AKS-47
ANP officers hold AKS-47 rifles in episode 13 when they respond to the shooting at the womens' clinic.
