The Collector is a 2009 horror film directed by Marcus Dunstan. The Collector follows ex-con Arkin, who works as a handyman at the Chase's family home. Arkin's wife owes money to loan sharks and to protect her and his daughter, Arkin sneaks into the house (believing the family to be away on vacation) and steals a jewel to pay off the debt. However, Arkin discovers a masked serial killer has booby trapped the house, and plans on killing the family, leaving only one alive to kidnap. A sequel titled The Collection was released on November 30, 2012.
