Closer to the Moon is a romainian 2013 movie about the 1959 famous bank robbery,which affected the communist regime at that time pretty much.Starring Mark Strong,Vera Farmiga,Anton Lesser,Joe Armstrong,Christian McKay and Allan Corduner.

Carpati Md 1974

Though anarchnostic for 1958, the Carpati Md 1974 is used by Max Rosenthal(Mark Strong) during the bank robbery and the reconstruction.

"Don't be alarmed,we're shooting a film!" Max Rosenthal(Mark Strong) creates confusion as they commit the robbery.

In order to amuse the bitstanders,Max(Mark Strong) and Dumi (Tim Plester) handle their Carpati Md 1974 and Walther P38 pistols to a bank official,as they keep stealing the money.

Colt M1911A1

A Colt M1911A1 is used earlier in the film.Another one is used by Răzvan(Joe Armstrong),during the bank robbery.

The MP40 is used by Alice(Vera Farmiga) and Iorgu(Christian McKay)during the robbery.

Due to an acces of anger(created by a plot turning),Alice(Vera Farmiga) fires her MP40 in the air.

During the final scene, the Jilava Prison Guards are seen armed with Romanian Contract Vz. 24 rifles.
