Clarice is a psychological horror crime drama television series that follows the characters first introduced in the 1991 feature film thriller The Silence of the Lambs. Rebecca Breeds stars in the series as the title character, rookie FBI agent Clarice Starling, who is still dealing with her traumatic encounter with the serial killer Buffalo Bill a year later. The series is set in the early 1990s, as Clarice is assigned by the US Attorney General to a special task force in order to investigate several murders that appear to be the work of another serial killer. The series, which was co-created by Alex Kurtzman and Jenny Lumet (daughter of the late film director Sidney Lumet), premiered in the US on CBS in February of 2021 and aired for 13 episodes until June of that year.
