Sir Christopher Frank Carandini Lee (May 27, 1922 – June 7, 2015) was a British-born actor, best known for portraying archvillains such as Francisco Scaramanga in The Man With the Golden Gun, Count Dracula in the film Dracula: Prince of Darkness, Lord Summersisle in The Wicker Man, Count Dooku in Star Wars Episodes II & III as well as Saruman in both The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film trilogies. Prior to his acting career, he had served during World War II as both an RAF pilot as well in the British Special Forces.
