Charter Arms Bulldog

The Charter Arms Bulldog was a no frills, inexpensive revolver first sold in 1973. It was relatively lightweight which made it popular as a backup revolver. Police detectives in the 1970s and 80s used it in waist and ankle holsters, and it was designed to fire the more powerful .44 Special and .357 Magnum rounds.
Trivia Note: The Charter Arms Bulldog revolver was used by infamous serial killer David Berchowitz, other wise known as the "Son of Sam", during his rampage in New York in 1976-7. His use of the revolver got him the name of the "The .44 Caliber Killer."
