Chappie (2015)

Chappie is a 2015 science fiction film directed by Neill Blomkamp (Elysium and District 9) that revolves around a law enforcement robot who starts to learn about human emotions after being captured by criminals. The film stars Hugh Jackman and Sigourney Weaver, with Sharlto Copley providing motion capture and voice for "Chappie".

The following weapons were used in the film Chappie:

Handguns

Glock 17

Vincent Moore (Hugh Jackman) is seen carrying what appears to be a Glock 17 as his primary firearm. At one point, the Glock is fitted with an extended magazine. The weapon starts out with an OD Green frame, but later switches to a standard black frame. Amerika (Jose Pablo Cantillo) also carries a standard Glock as his sidearm throughout the film.

Vektor SP1 Sport

Ninja's (Ninja Visser) main sidearm is a Vektor SP1 Sport fitted with a red dot sight. Chappie also handles the weapon during a few scenes.

The first time we see the SP1 Sport, it is a stunt casting or replica. This is during the scene where Ninja smashes Deon's car window and kidnaps him. Note that the prop's red dot sight is bent and there is clearly no glass in it.

Rifles

Vektor R5

The main weapon carried by the law enforcement robots is the Vektor R5 carbine. One of Moore's operatives is armed with a Vektor rifle in a tactical configuration with UTG quad rail mounts and CAA railed handguards. The rifle appears very similar to ones used in Strike Back - Season 3.

Mk 18 Mod 0

Ninja uses a custom Mk 18 Mod 0 CQB carbine. It is fitted with a suppressor, ELCAN SpecterDR 1x/4X scope, PEQ-16 laser/light module, and flashlight, all painted school bus yellow with pink or yellow magazines.

Custom AK

Shotguns

Remington 870

Ninja (Ninja Visser) uses a short-barrelled Remington 870 during several scenes. It has an aftermarket foregrip and a sidesaddle shell holder. A police Scout is also seen using a Remington 870 Riot Gun later in the film.

Launchers

Denel Inkuzi PAW

Dev steals a Denel Inkuzi PAW from the Tetravall armory, and it is used by Yolandi (Yo-Landi Visser) and Chappie during the battle with the MOOSE.

The markings are clearly visible as Chappie readies the PAW. The horizontal magazine release is another sign that this is a production Inkuzi PAW, as the prototypes had a vertical mag release: this was changed as it was possible for recoil to operate the lever and drop the mag.

Fictional MLRS

A fictional Multiple Launch Rocket System is seen on the MOOSE. It seems to have at least two different warheads loaded; one is a direct-attack rocket, and the other is what Vincent refers to as a 'cluster bomb', which fires in a top-attack flight profile and rains down multiple projectiles on the enemy.

Explosives

Grenades

Deon steals a belt of grenades from the Tetravaal armory, which are later used by Chappie. They bear a resemblance to the fictional grenades seen in Elysium. Although they strongly resemble hand grenades, they are in fact triggered using a detonator.

Other

Ninja and Yolandi's Armory

Ninja (Ninja Visser) and Yolandi (Yo-Landi Visser) have a very stylized armory in their hideout, with colored outlines around each weapon's mounting.

Ninja retrieves his M4A1 from the armory. On the left we see Amerika's Uzi, blank outlines where Yolandi's Armscor BXP and Amerika's AKMS would hang, a Vektor R6, and a custom AR-15 rifle. On the right is Ninja's Vektor SP1 Sport, a blank space for Yolandi's Micro Uzi, Ninja's SBS, another AKMS, and a Vektor R5.

Various

Various other weapons are seen in the Tetravaal Armory, and at Hippo's (Brandon Auret) hideout.

A PKM machine gun and a Mk 19 grenade launcher can be seen in the Tetravaal armory, as well as what appears to be the LSAT machine gun in the foreground, likely an airsoft prop.
Many rifles are seen in the pool at Hippo's hideout.
