Castle - Season 2 (2009-2010)

The following weapons were used in Season 2 of the television series Castle:

Pistols

Glock 17

Several NYPD detectives including Kevin Ryan (Seamus Dever) use a Glock 17 as their sidearm in Season 2. Criminals also like them, one was used with a suppressor to murder Roger Farraday (Dean Cates) in A Deadly Game (S2E24).

Glock 19

Detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) carries the more compact Glock 19. Ryan and Esposito also appear to carry the pistol in some episodes. Det. Tom Demming (Michael Trucco) also carries one.

Glock 26

A Glock 26 serves as Det. Beckett's backup gun, it's most notably seen when she hands it to Castle to defend himself in "Boom" (S2E18), when they enter the warehouse where a killer is suspected to be hiding. He uses it to shoot Kate's Glock 19 out of the killer's hand. Afterwards, Castle reveals that "he was aiming for his head" (presumably another one of the many references to Nathan Fillion's previous series Firefly.)

Firefly Custom Revolver (Modified Taurus 85)

Castle (Nathan Fillion) is briefly seen dressed in a "Space Cowboy" costume, a deliberate nod to that worn by Captain Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds in the series Firefly (Fillion's former television series). Castle is even seen wielding the modified Taurus 85 during the opening sequence of "Vampire Weekend" (S2E06). In Firefly, the revolver was known as a "Moses Brothers Self-Defense Engine Frontier Model B". Castle's daughter tells him that he wore that costume five years ago.
