Carpați Md 1974/Md 1995

The Carpați Md 1974 is a Romanian semi-automatic pistol similar to the Walther PPK, but not a copy. Like the PPK , the Md 1974 is DA/SA, utilizes straight blowback, and is chambered in both .32 ACP (Md 1974) and .380 ACP (Md 1995). One major difference, however, is the use of a heel-mounted magazine catch and a chrome plated frame (Only seen with the MD 1974, the MD 1995 was black). It entered in production at the beginning of the 1970's, replacing the old Tokarev TT-33.
