Call of Duty: Black Ops III is the twelfth installment in the Call of Duty series, and the fourth main entry in the Black Ops sub-franchise (the first being World at War). It is developed by Treyarch and published by Activision for the PC, PS4, XBoX One and Wii U and will also be released on the Xbox 360 and PS3 by Beenox and Mercenary Technology. The game was released on November 6th, 2015.

The following weapons appear in the video game Call of Duty: Black Ops III:

Handguns

"Annihilator"

Bo3annihilator.jpg

"L-CAR 9"

The "L-CAR 9" is a fully-automatic machine pistol that seems to be based primarily on the VBR-Belgium PDW.

VBR-Belgium PDW - 7.92x24mm
Bo3lcar.jpg

"MR6"

The MR6 is a futuristic handgun fitted with a laser aiming module. It looks similar to the Lawgiver II pistol from Judge Dredd, which was a Beretta 92FS fitted in a plastic shell. According to a digital readout on the side of the gun, it is chambered in .40 S&W.

"RK5"

Seems to be loosely based on the Heckler & Koch USP Match with an extended magazine and appears to be two-toned. Fires in three round bursts.

Submachine Guns

Heckler & Koch MP7A1

The exact same MP7A1 model from Call of Duty: Black Ops II appears as a "hidden" weapon in the PC files. It was a placeholder.

"Kuda"

The "Kuda" is a "futurised" Heckler & Koch UMP.

Heckler & Koch UMP45 - .45 ACP

"Pharo"

The "Pharo" is a futuristic SMG with a rather strange gimmick of 4-round bursts with automatic refiring; how this likely works is that the cam mechanism trips the firing mechanism during a burst and afterwards resets automatically, even with the trigger held down. Nevertheless, it shares the same burst-fire function like the "Chicom CQB" in Black Ops II.

Visually, it mostly resembles the Ruger MP9, but it also appears to be a spiritual successor to the MSMC from Black Ops II.

"Razorback"

The Razorback appears to be based on the Thor PDW, a fictional weapon using a TDI Vector-style offset recoil mechanism created by Crytek designer Pascal Eggert.

Sten Mk III

The Sten Mk III appears as the "Bootlegger" in Zombies Mode. Like the Sten Mk II from most previous games, it is incorrectly held from the magazine rather than the handguard, magwell or the assembly in front of the trigger guard.

"Vesper"

The "Vesper" is an even more futuristic version of the modified Jian She Type-05 that appeared in Black Ops II.

"VMP"

A sub-machine gun based on the Beretta Mx4 Storm.

"Weevil"

The general shape of the "Weevil" appears to be primarily based on the FN P90 TR. Oddly, from the side it appears to actually be some kind of pistol with a suppressor and LAM reminiscent of the Heckler & Koch Mark 23 mounted in a large carbine stock, though precisely how a pistol could be made to feed from above or work with the stock primarily attaching to the slide is not clear.

Shotguns

"205 Brecci"

Another drum-fed shotgun but has semi-automatic fire only.

Bo3 205 Brecci.jpg

"Argus"

A futuristic lever-action shotgun based on the Winchester Model 1887 with a wire stock. Instead of a tube magazine it has what appears to be a turret rifle cylinder which is inserted into the right side of the receiver.

"Haymaker 12"

The Haymaker 12 is a fully-automatic shotgun that feeds from a 16-round drum. However, its appearance is based more on an assault rifle such as the ACR.

Bo3hay.jpg

"KRM-262"

The "KRM-262" appears to be somewhat based on the FP6 from Call of Duty: Ghosts. Interesting to note is that the shells are stored on the right side of the gun, covering the ejection port. In another interesting design choice, the shells are inserted on top of the gun, à la the shotguns from the Halo series, except the top part actually opens up for the shells to be inserted.

Remington 870

Another hidden weapon from the PC files. It uses the exact same custom Remington 870 model from Black Ops II, like the MP7. It was a placeholder as well.

Assault Rifles

Heckler & Koch HK416

This unnamed render based on the Heckler & Koch HK416 appears in the game files, but it is presumably replaced by the more futuristic-looking ICR-1 below.

Heckler & Koch HK416 with 14.5 inch barrel - 5.56x45mm
The unnamed HK416 rifle. WA presumably stands for the in-game Winslow Accord, which is a coalition of Western nations including the United States, so it's likely that this could have been the standard-issue rifle for the US military.

"ICR-1"

The more futuristic version of the HK416 that replaced the render above, and given its relatively low damage and high accuracy, it is a spiritual successor to the M27 in Black Ops II.

"HVK-30"

The gun looks similar to the FAMAS with a lot of AR frankenkibble thrown on it. It is described as being chambered in 7.62x35mm in the campaign's data vault.

Bo3hvk.jpg

"KN-44"

A futuristic AK variant, formerly known as the "ARAK" in the alpha and "ARK-7" in the beta. It is chiefly based on the AK-12 featured in the previous two installments, but unlike the AK-12 it doesn't have an ambidextrous charging handle; it is only on the right side like with traditional AKs. It also has distinct features such as a 7.62-styled magazine, a more diagonal stock similar to that of the original AK-47, and a deeper magazine well..

"M8A7"

The M8A7 is a 4-round burst firing assault rifle which seems to be designed after the Heckler & Koch SL8, though it's name alludes to the identically functioning M8A1 from Black Ops II, which was based more on the Heckler & Koch XM8.

"Man-O-War"

This rifle is a futuristic version of the ACR.

"Sheiva"

A semi-only DMR, the "Sheiva" is probably supposed to be a successor to the SVU or "SMR" from Black Ops II, though it is difficult to say which since the bullpup rifle is buried in chunky "future" embellishments. Oddly, several of its upgrades add wood furnishings.

Bo3sheiva.jpg

"XR-2"

A futuristic bullpup rifle loosely based on the Tavor. It fires in three-round bursts.

Machine Guns

"48 Dredge"

The "48 Dredge" is a futuristic FN Minimi-based design that is loosely based on the M249-E2, but fires 6-round bursts automatically in a similar fashion to the Pharo. Given the LMGs' priority of sheer volume of suppressing fire over accuracy, the burst-fire is quite counter-intuitive to the weapon's role, but is probably deliberate in order to balance its otherwise high fire rate with the slower-firing LMGs.

"BRM"

Another Minimi-based desgin, this time having a sliding stock like the Paratrooper variant. It feeds from a 75-round belt fed through a chute, and is probably a spiritual successor to Black Ops II's Mk 48.

"Dingo"

Bo3dingo.jpg

"Gorgon"

A slow-firing machine gun that actually looks more like an anti-material rifle given the muzzle brake and barrel.

GorgonBO3.jpg

MG34 Panzerlauf

MG34 Panzerlauf machine guns can be seen in the hull mountings of King Tiger tanks encountered during the campaign level "Demon Within."

MG34 Panzerlauf with stock fitted - 7.92x57mm Mauser

MG42

MG42s appear in "Demon Within;" they are seen both in fixed mountings with 50-round drums, which is incorrect for weapons being used as medium machine guns which typically used 250-round belts, and mounted on Hanomag halftracks and King Tiger tanks encountered during the level. The latter is incorrect; since the MG42's barrel-change system was difficult to operate when it was mounted, German tanks used MG34s as AA weapons.

The MG42 has infinite ammunition if used and no limit to how long it can be fired; it appears to be a reworked version of the portable World at War model, and rather apathetically coughs ammunition out of a position just behind its ejection port.

MG42 - 7.92x57mm Mauser

Sniper Rifles

"Drakon"

This odd-looking sniper rifle appears to be a combination of the FG42 and WA2000, along with quite a lot of alcohol.

In the future, weapons will be more complex than they have any real right to be.

"Locus"

Modeled on the FN Ballista.

"P-06"

An unorthodox sniper rifle that fires a three-round burst instead of a single shot, and it has a charge-up delay before firing which is similar to the Storm PSR from Black Ops 2. Its appearance is primarily based on the Kel-Tec RFB carbine.

"SVG-100"

The game's high-caliber rifle. Formerly called the "Power-Bolt" in the beta.

Launchers

"BlackCell"

An anti-vehicle missile launcher that only locks on to vehicles, much like the guided missile launchers from previous games. Despite its seemingly futuristic appearance, it is likely based on tripod-mounted launchers such as the Spike and ERYX, but scaled down for man-portable use.

"XM-53"

Based on the Carl Gustav M3, with a Heckler & Koch XM25-style barrel.
