Bukit Kepong is the 1982 Malaysian war film based on the true story of the Bukit Kepong tragedy. The film chronicles the heroic of Bukit Kepong police officers fight against communist terrorist after communist launched an attack the police station during the Malayan Emergency 1948-1960. Jins Shamsudin starred in the film as Bukit Kepong police sergeant, Jamil Mohd Shah. In August 2015, this movie was re-released with High-Definition version.

Webley .38 Mk IV

The Webley .38 Mk IV is the service revolver seen carried by every police chief during the Malayan Emergency. In the film, the Webley Mk IV is used by Sargeant Jamil Mohd Shah (Jins Shamsudin) as his sidearm. The Webley Mk IV was also seen in the hands of the communist terrorist to execute their own comrade after they betraying the cause.

Sten Mk V

The Sten Mk V is the standard submachine gun for Federation of Malaya Police and Police Jungle Squad troops in the film, most featured had the forward pistol grip removed. Also, it has been used by the terrorist of the Malayan Communist Party. In the film, the Sten is used by Bukit Kepong police chief Sargeant Jamil Mohd Shah (Jins Shamsudin) and Constable Jaafar Hassan (Yusof Haslam) as they try to defend the station by communist forces.

After finding the ammunition for Bren gun was depleted, Police Constable Yussof Rono (Latifi Ahmad) dismantled the Bren by throwing away the magazine, barrel and firing pin to prevent capture by terrorist
