Born by Revolution (Rozhdyonnaya revolyutsiey) is a Soviet made for TV historical films series, released in 1974-1977, directed by Grigori Kokhan and based on the novel "Povest ob ugolovnom rozyske" ("A Tale of Criminal Investigations Department") by Aleksey Nagorny and Geliy Ryabov. The series depicts the history of Soviet Ugolovny Rozysk (criminal police) from 1917 to 1970s, seen through the eyes of Nikolay Fomich Kondratyev (Evgeniy Zharikov).

The fourth film We Will Help You (My pomozhem tebe) is set in 1929. Nikolay and Maria Kondratyevs visit Nikolay's native village. Here Kondratyev is involved in struggle against a local gang and uncovers the mystery of the death of his parents in 1917.

Revolvers

Nagant M1895

Nagant M1895 revolvers are used by chief of local OGPU Ivan Petrovich Kolomiyets (Ivan Dmitriev) and district militsioneer Basargin (Vladimir Talashko), and also by bandits, including their chief and local Ortodox priest Father Seraphim (Dmitri Mirgorodsky). Nikolay Kondratyev (Evgeniy Zharikov) holds Nagants, taken from bandits, in two scenes. Nagants are of anachronistic post-1930 version.

Smith & Wesson Victory Model

As in previous films, Nikolay Kondratyev (Evgeniy Zharikov) carries his Smith & Wesson Victory Model revolver, called a Colt in the movie.

Mauser C96 "Bolo"

One of the bandits (Yuriy Popelov) carries a short-barreled Mauser C96 "Bolo" pistol.

Walther Model 9A

Nikolay Kondratyev's (Evgeniy Zharikov) backup gun is a Walther Model 9A pocket pistol, gifted to him by Nikiforov (Lev Prygunov) in second part. Like Nikiforov, Kondratyev carries the gun in sleeve, tied with an elastic band.

Maria Kondratyeva's (Natalya Gvozdikova) personal gun is a Mauser M1914 (or possibly Mauser M1934) pocket pistol.

Several bandits, notably Ugryumy (Sergey Massarskiy), Medved (Yury Eller) and unnamed one (Yuriy Popelov), carry "obrez" sawed-off rifles.

Degtyaryov DP-27 (visually modified to resemble Lewis)

A Degtyaryov DP-27, visually modified to resemble Lewis, is seen bandits camp and used by Petukh (Igor Dychenko). It appears to be the same prop, used in numerous movies by Dovzhenko Film Studios, identified by its barrel shroud of very unusual shape and fake flat magazine in Lewis style, rather than more tall magazine of Degtyaryov DT machine gun, used by most similar props from other Soviet film studios.
