Born by Revolution (Rozhdyonnaya revolyutsiey) is a Soviet made for TV historical films series, released in 1974-1977, directed by Grigori Kokhan and based on the novel "Povest ob ugolovnom rozyske" ("A Tale of Criminal Investigations Department") by Aleksey Nagorny and Geliy Ryabov. The series depicts the history of Soviet Ugolovny Rozysk (criminal police) from 1917 to 1970s, seen through the eyes of Nikolay Fomich Kondratyev (Evgeniy Zharikov).

The third film On Fire (V ogne) is set in 1920s. Nikolay Kondratyev returns back to Leningrad and participates in the operation against the most dangerous local gang, lead by Lyonka Panteleev (the storyline is loosely based on real events of 1922-1923).

The following weapons were used in the film Born by Revolution: On Fire (Rozhdyonnaya revolyutsiey: V ogne):

Revolvers

Nagant M1895

Nagant M1895 revolvers are widely used by Ugolovny Rozysk personnel, notably Nikolay Kondratyev (Evgeniy Zharikov) (used in firing scenes as a substitution for his Smith & Wesson Military & Police that is described below), Bushmakin (Viktor Shulgin), Voinov (Stanislav Borodokin), Nikita (Georgi Dvornikov), Grisha (Sergei Podgornyj), and by Militsia and criminals. Most revolvers are of anachronistic post-1930 version.

Smith & Wesson Victory Model

As in previous film, Nikolay Kondratyev (Evgeniy Zharikov) carries his Smith & Wesson Victory Model revolver, called a Colt in the movie. In firing scenes this revolver is substituted with a Nagant M1895.

Pisols

Mauser C96 "Bolo"

Short-barreled Mauser C96 "Bolo" pistol is a favoured gun of Lyonka Panteleev (Vladimir Dyukov-Samarskiy).

Walther PPK

In one scene a criminal (Nikolai Vashchilin) fires a heavily anachronistic Walther PPK.

Early Waffenamt marked Walther PPK. Note the differences: orange bakelite grips, lanyard ring, smaller rear sight, grooved top, and irregular front - 7.65x17mm Auto (.32 ACP)
A waiter in restaurant appears to be Panteleev's accomplice and fires his pistol.
