The hooded front sight of Blott's Type 56 is seen.
A soldier with seemingly Type 56 on watchtower on the Inner German border.
A soldier fires his Type 56 at a balloon, flying across the border (the scene was definitely inspired by the East German balloon escape in 1979).
Machine Guns
Bren Mk I
Blott finds two Bren Mk I machine guns in a wartime hidden cache in the wine cellar. He uses one of these guns to fire at his own gatehouse and blame the authorities in making at attack on "Englishman's home".

Other Weapons
PIAT
Blott also finds a PIAT anti-tank launcher in the wine cellar. He uses it to open Sir Giles' heavily armoured safe box, and to damage the gatehouse in the final episode.
Projector, Infantry, Anti Tank (PIAT) with loaded bomb - 3.25 in
Blott readies the launcher.
Blott fires a bomb to open the safe box.
A PIAT is seen at the background in the night scene.
Unidentified weapon
When Blott destroyes the gatehouse in the final episode, he uses one more weapon exept for Bren and PIAT. It is seen in darkness and only partially. What is seen allows to make a very vague guess that it may be a kind of 2 inch mortar.
The supposed mortar fires.
The barrel is seen at the right.
Trivia
Grappling hook launcher
SAS commandos use a grappling hook launcher in the attempt to reach the rooftop of Blott's gatehouse. The launcher isn't pneumatic as after the "shot" the scene is covered with smoke.
