Bite The Bullet is a 1975 Western about an endurance horse race covering 700 miles. The story takes place in 1909 allowing for more modern firearms to make an appearance as well as motorcycles and automobiles. Directed by Richard Brooks (The Professionals & In Cold Blood) it stars Gene Hackman, James Coburn, Jan-Michael Vincent, Ian Bannen and Candice Bergen.
