Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon is a 2006 mockumentary which combines genres of black comedy and slasher film. In a way it is inspired by Belgian movie Man Bites Dog - both movies feature movie crew who films escapades of a serial killer. This time the one is Leslie Mancuso, who shapes his character after the local urban legend of the ghost of Leslie Vernon haunting the old farmhouse.

Smith & Wesson 66 "Non Gun"
Doc Halloran (Robert Englund), a clear homage to Dr. Sam Loomis (Donald Pleasence) from Halloween, wields an Smith & Wesson 66 "Non Gun". He uses it in the library to fire at Leslie Mancuso/Vernon three times (he misses all of them but is still able to force Vernon duck).
