Back to the Future Part III is the third and final installment in the Back to the Future trilogy. In the 1990 sequel, Marty McFly travels back to 1885 Hill Valley to try and prevent Doc Brown's death. This movie was filmed back-to-back with 1989's Back to the Future Part II.
The following weapons were used in the film Back to the Future Part III:
WARNING! THIS PAGE CONTAINS SPOILERS!
Handguns
Colt Single Action Army
Various models of the famous Single Action Army are carried by various characters throughout the film. Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) receives a blued SAA Peacemaker from the Colt dealer after he stands up to Buford "Mad Dog" Tannen (Thomas F. Wilson) at the clock dedication celebration. Before he and Emmett "Doc" Brown (Christopher Lloyd) leave, Marty gives his Colt SAA to Seamus McFly (also played by Michael J. Fox). Mad Dog Tannen himself carries a nickel SAA, as do his gang members (Christopher Wynne, Sean Sullivan, and Mike Watson), as does Doc in 1955.
Iver Johnson Eclipse Derringer
Mad Dog Tannen hides a Iver Johnson Eclipse Derringer in his hat at the town party as his other guns were checked in front of the town.
Rifles
Winchester Model 1866 Yellow Boy Rifle (Custom)
Doc Brown is seen using a modified Winchester Model 1866 "Yellow Boy" Rifle with a custom built scope (with exposed optics), custom sights, and large-loop lever. The design of the scope suggests that Doc customized the rifle himself. Armed with this weapon, he demands that Mad Dog Tannen's gang release Marty McFly after shooting through the rope of the noose around his neck. The rifle in the film is actually a reproduction by Cimarron Firearms.
Winchester Model 1873
Another famous weapon seen in this film is the Winchester Model 1873 rifle. One such rifle is seen next to one of Buford's thugs as he is sleeping. It's prominently seen later carried by the deputies that arrest Buford Tannen and his cohorts.
Shotguns
Stevens 12 Gauge Double Barrel Shotgun
Several 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotguns are seen in the film. One is seen carried by Seamus McFly (Michael J. Fox) when he returns from a hunting trip. Another is carried by Chief Marshal James Strickland (James Tolkan) when confronting Mad Dog Tannen at the festival.
Colt Model 1878
When Marty enters Hill Valley, a Colt Model 1878 Shotgun appears to be carried by the guard riding on a Wells Fargo stagecoach.
Other
Colt Firearms Display
During the clocktower celebration, a salesman is seen presenting a display of Colt revolvers for purchase.
