Australia is a 2008 adventure-drama romance film directed by Baz Luhrmann, starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman.

In 1939, British noblewoman Lady Sarah Ashley (Nicole Kidman) arrives in Australia to take charge of a vast cattle ranch. There, she meets a rugged individual known only as "the Drover" (Hugh Jackman) who has been assigned to help her manage the ranch. Despite their very different upbringings and lives, the two forge a relationship against the backdrop of the rugged Australian wilderness and the coming storm of the Second World War.
