While the game is not primarily a shooter, guns play a major role in Syndicate.  Although not the first Assassin's Creed game to have guns, it is the first to feature them as a major tool of combat.  The player can only carry available handguns, most of which are revolvers.  There are also some single-shot, break-barrel, and self-loading guns as well.

Mars Automatic Pistol
The Single Action Army is available in the game. The barrel of the in-game gun appears a bit longer than a standard Single Action army. The game is set in 1868, making the SAA anachronistic.
+
The Mars Automatic Pistol is the final gun available in the game, excluding DLC. It is the most powerful gun in the base game, and has the highest stats of all firearms in the vanilla version. The Mars is ornately decorated and quite anachronistic, since it wasn't produced until 1897. An extremely rare pistol with a long-recoil and a production run of around eighty, the Mars was largely a failure due to firing a special round with a muzzle velocity more suited to a rifle; it was said that those who fired it found it "singularly unpleasant and alarming" and never expressed any desire to do so again.

In the Steampunk DLC pack from November 2015, players were given new outfits, a new gauntlet, a new knuckle duster, and a new steampunk firearm called "The Rend Asunder".  It is mocked up with a heat shield, long-range scope, and the various gears, dials, and metal bits that are common in the steampunk art style. The Rend Asunder appears to draw similarities with a Savage 1861 Navy.

The Apache Pepperbox Revolver is added in the Jack The Ripper DLC as the "Insidious Pistol". It can be used both as a handgun and as brass knuckles. This is the first known appearance of this weapon in any form of media. In reality, the pistol was popular with certain criminal gangs specifically because it was both brass knuckles and a handgun, although in practice it wasn't particularly good at being either.

SPOILERS.jpg WARNING! THIS PAGE CONTAINS SPOILERS!

The following weapons appear in the video game Assassin's Creed Syndicate:

Handguns

While the game is not primarily a shooter, guns play a major role in Syndicate. Although not the first Assassin's Creed game to have guns, it is the first to feature them as a major tool of combat. The player can only carry available handguns, most of which are revolvers. There are also some single-shot, break-barrel, and self-loading guns as well.

Beaumont-Adams Percussion Revolver

The Beaumont-Adams Revolver appears as the "1856 Revolver".

Evie uses the revolver to destroy a Blighter shipment.
Jacob flashing the 1856 Revolver.

Bergmann Model 1896

The Self-Loading pistol is an anachronistic version of the Bergmann Model 1896 (the game is set in 1868). One of the better usable guns in the game, it has significantly higher stats than many other pistols.

Bergmann Model 1896
The Self-Loading Pistol as seen in the game's menu.

Colt 2nd Model Derringer

Henry Greene gives the Frye's their own Colt 2nd Model Derringer in one of the earliest missions. In the game's menu it is simply referred to as the "Derringer Pistol". This is slightly anachronistic with the the Colt 2nd Model Derringer not being produced until 1870, however its precursor the National Arms Co. 2nd model Derringer was being manufactured at the time.

Colt 2nd Model Derringer - .41 RF

Stats of the Colt Derringer. It is worth mentioning that the gun can be fired twice before reloading while in reality this is a single-shot pistol.
Evie aims her Derringer at an unsuspecting Blighter patrolman.
Henry hands the twins their derringers.
Jacob inspects the derringer. Note the rather large scaling of the gun's barrel
Jacob fires the pistol into the air during a carriage chase to distract enemies.

Colt M1877 Lightning

The Colt Lightning is another weapon available to unlock in the game. It comes in two variants, the standard "Lightning" model, and the "Thunderer", which has better speed, damage, and quickfire accuracy. This is yet another anachronistic gun in the game.

Colt Lightning - .38 Colt

Lydia Frye points her Colt at Winston Churchill and his soldiers during the World War I part of the game.
The Thunderer variant, with boosted stats.

Frederick Abberline holds his M1877 in the Jack The Ripper DLC. Since it takes place in 1888, the gun is no longer anachronistic.

Colt Single Action Army

The Single Action Army is available in the game. The barrel of the in-game gun appears a bit longer than a standard Single Action Army. The game is set in 1868, making the SAA anachronistic.

Colt Single Action Army - .45 Colt
The Single Action Army in the game's menu.
Jacob points the Single Action Army while Evie stands ready with a throwing knife.
Jacob fires the revolver atop a train.
Jacob aims the SAA at two patrolling police officers. Policemen are usually neutral to the player and will only attack if they see the player performing assassinations or fighting Blighters.

Colt Walker

The Colt Walker appears as the "Bullseye Revolver" in-game.

Lancaster Pistol

The Lancaster Howdah Pistol makes an appearance as the "Lancaster 4-Barrels".

Jacob uses the Lancaster Pistol to scare off some bullies and score an easy £200 during a crowd event.
The "Templar Shoot-Out" is a special variant appearing in the Jack The Ripper downloadable content. Just don't ask how can it hold 10 rounds after buying the upgrade.

Mars Automatic Pistol

The Mars Automatic Pistol is the final gun available in the game, excluding DLC. It is the most powerful gun in the base game, and has the highest stats of all firearms in the vanilla version. The Mars is ornately decorated and quite anachronistic, since it wasn't produced until 1897. An extremely rare pistol with a long-recoil and a production run of around eighty, the Mars was largely a failure due to firing a special round with a muzzle velocity more suited to a rifle; it was said that those who fired it found it "singularly unpleasant and alarming" and never expressed any desire to do so again.

Jack The Ripper (or more like Jack The Shooter) takes aim with his Mars pistol. As if he wasn't OP already.
Evie aims the Mars Pistol.

Smith & Wesson Model 1

A pocket pistol resembling a Smith & Wesson Model 1 is available to purchase in-game.

Smith & Wesson Model 2

The Smith & Wesson Model 2 appears incorrectly as the "Model 1" in-game.

The in-game version.
Jacob takes aim with the Model 2 revolver.

Smith & Wesson 4th Model

The Smith & Wesson 4th Model makes an anachronistic appearance as the ".38 Double Action". Although it incorrectly shoots .38 bullets rather than .32's, it is correctly identified as a double action.

Smith & Wesson 4th Model - .32
Stats of the S&W 4th Model.
Evie jumps up on the roof of the stolen carriage to kill her pursuers.

Smith & Wesson No.3 Russian Model

The anachronistic Smith & Wesson No.3 Russian Model appears in game as the "Model 3 Revolver" and is unlocked at level 8.

S&W No. 3 Russian Model - .44 Russian
Evie shows off the Model 3 with its intricate decorative etchings.
Since the bonus objective calls for a headshot, the otherwise stealthy Evie pulls out a S&W to take out the Templar leader.
Evie takes on Spring-Heeled Jack for the second time in a side mission for Charles Dickens.

"Rend Asunder" (Savage 1861 Navy)

In the Steampunk DLC pack from November 2015, players were given new outfits, a new gauntlet, a new knuckle duster, and a new steampunk firearm called "The Rend Asunder". It is mocked up with a heat shield, long-range scope, and the various gears, dials, and metal bits that are common in the steampunk art style. The Rend Asunder appears to draw similarities with a Savage 1861 Navy.

Apache Pepperbox Revolver

The Apache Pepperbox Revolver is added in the Jack The Ripper DLC as the "Insidious Pistol". It can be used both as a handgun and as brass knuckles. This is the first known appearance of this weapon in any form of media. In reality, the pistol was popular with certain criminal gangs specifically because it was both brass knuckles and a handgun, although in practice it wasn't particularly good at being either.

Stats of the "Insidious Pistol". The 8-round capacity is obviously not correct.
And the Apache as a melee weapon known as the "Knuckle Sandwich". This is treated as a separate weapon, so it is possible to unlock only this melee variant.
Evie aims the Apache at a Rook formerly loyal to her, now working for Jack The Ripper.

"Fire Spitter" Pepperbox

The "Fire Spitter" is a pepperbox-style gun available in the Jack The Ripper DLC. It is based on pinfire pepperbox revolvers, such as Victor Collete Pepperbox. The difference in protected fixed trigger, while in reality such pepperboxes had a folding trigger.

Miscellaneous Guns

Gatling Gun

During a mission Nigel Bumble steals a gatling gun fitted with a Broadwell Drum feeding device from the Blighters to impress the Frye twins. Later Jacob uses the gatling gun to stop the enemy gang trying to take it back.

Wrist-mounted guns

The new variation of the Assassin Gauntlet has both a dart gun on top and a grapple launcher on the bottom. Syndicate is the first Assassin's Creed game to feature a grapple gun to make traversing rooftops easier and quicker.
