Anthony Perkins (April 4, 1932 – September 12, 1992) was an American actor best known for the role of Norman Bates in the Psycho films. In 1953-1992 he appeared in more the 55 movies and TV series. For his role in Friendly Persuasion (1956) Perkins was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar. Anthony Perkins died on September 12, 1992, from complications of AIDS.
