And Your Love Too is a 1962 East-German movie directed by Frank Vogel. Berlin around August 13, 1961. The girl Eva stands between the brothers Ulli and Klaus, two working-class boys whose world views are opposite. Klaus is for the fast money he earns as a cab driver in the West and for a carefree life. Ulli is more serious, somewhat shy, and has a firm political viewpoint. On August 13, Klaus' path to the West is suddenly blocked, and Ulli stands at the border with a gun in his hand. With Eva, the self-confident Klaus makes the running, but when the girl becomes pregnant, he wants to shirk responsibility.

It was the first Mauerfilm (wall film) in the GDR to focus on the construction of the Berlin Wall.

The following weapons were used in the film And Your Love Too:

Submachine Guns

PPSh-41

East-German Kampfgruppen der Arbeiterklasse (Combat Groups of the Working Class; a paramilitary organization in the GDR) to which also belongs Ullrich Sittich (Armin Mueller-Stahl) are equipped with PPSh-41s.

Archival Footage

Archival footage of the infamous encounter of Soviet and U.S. tanks that faced each other at point-blank range at Checkpoint Charlie on October 27th, 1961 are shown. Of course, as a member of the eastern bloc, the filmmakers included only U.S. Army tanks, not the Soviet T-55 counterparts. This is supposed to represent western aggression.
