Unidentified

This article currently has one or more unidentified weapons.
If you can help identify any of the weapons labelled "unknown," please do so.

Tocaia No Asfalto (1962) - The gun on the poster appears to be a Colt 1878 Double Action (this weapon is never seen in the actual film)

Ambush in the Asphalt (Tocaia no Asfalto) is a 1962 Brazilian drama directed by Roberto Pires. The plot revolves around Rufino, a rural assassin who is hired to kill a politician in Salvador.

The following weapons were used in the film Ambush in the Asphalt (Tocaia no Asfalto):

Revolvers

Smith & Wesson Military & Police (Spanish version)

Rufino (Agildo Ribeiro) uses what appears to be a Spanish copy of the Smith & Wesson Military & Police. He takes the weapon from a gun dealer in the opening scene and uses it throughout the rest of the film.

Guisasola Hermanos revolver - .38 Long Colt
The gun dealer shows the weapon and claims it's not for sale.
Rufino tests the weapon; apparently missing the target on purpose.
Rufino recklessly looks down the barrel with his finger on the trigger; he claims he missed because there is something wrong with the rifling.
It turns out Rufino is not the only character to disregard gun safety rules; as he convinces his target to take a look too.
The gun dealer realizes he made a fatal mistake but it's too late.
The gun is seen up close. Note the lack of the S&W logo. And that the placement of the screws is different from an original M&p (closer to a S&W .32 hand ejector)
During the graveyard scene, Rufino holds what appears to be the same revolver.

Unknown Revolver

Lucy (Angela Bonatti) uses an unknown revolver.

The revolver is seen in the glove box.
Lucy holds the weapon.
Lucy aims the weapon.

Nagant Revolver

During the final scene, the assassin from Caxias (Antonio Pitanga) uses what appears to be a Nagant Revolver. It does not fully match any standard Nagant model; it might be a copy from another Belgian manufacturer.

Belgian Nagant M1878 - 9.4x22mm Nagant
The assassin holds the weapon. It appears to be a Belgian version with a fluted cylinder (the Brazilian contract Nagants had unfluted cylinders); the ejector rod is similar to a Russian 1895 Nagant, but longer.
The weapon's outline can be seen in this shot.
The assassin fires his weapon

Pistols

Mauser C96

A Mauser C96 with a stock is seen in a flashback. It's used by a guard (Roberto Ferreira) escorting a truck full of prisoners.

The guard holds the weapon.
Since none of the nearby jails have room for the prisoners; the guard decides to dispose of them. He tells them to jump off the truck or they will be shot.
The hammer can be seen on this shot; it looks like an early "cone" style hammer.
The gun locks empty after only three shots.
