All the Money in the World is a 2017 drama directed by Ridley Scott and based on the novel "Painfully Rich: The Outrageous Fortunes and Misfortunes of the Heirs of J. Paul Getty" by John Peason. The film centers on the events surrounding the kidnapping of the grandson of oil tycoon John Paul Getty in the 1970s. The cast includes Michelle Williams, Timothy Hutton, Mark Wahlberg and Christopher Plummer as John Paul Getty (who was originally going to be portrayed by Kevin Spacey). The film is scheduled for release in December of 2017.
