Poster for Alien: Director's Cut

Alien is the 1979 science fiction film that launched the Alien film franchise. Directed by Ridley Scott, the movie revolves around a space transport crew who stumble upon an alien lifeform that poses a grave threat to their lives. The film launched the movie career of Sigourney Weaver and would spawn three direct sequels: Aliens, Alien³, and Alien Resurrection as well as the Alien vs. Predator series of films. For the twentieth anniversary, Scott released a "Director's Cut", which added back several scenes. A new film which is purported to be a prequel to this one is currently being prepped to be directed by Scott.

The following weapons were used in the film Alien:

Custom Flamethrower

The main weapon seen in the film is a custom flamethrower. The flamethrower is seen used by Ripley (Sigourney Weaver), Parker (Yaphet Kotto), and Dallas (Tom Skerritt).

Custom Handguns

When investigating the derelict ship, Dallas tells the crew to break out the weapons, which were custom handgun props. Many of the parts for these parts were assembling from existing handgun parts. While not seen being used, they are briefly seen in holsters on the crew's spacesuits.

One of the handgun props is seen below the cattle prod prop. Note that the grip appears to be from a Sterling L2A3 (similar to the Imperial blasters seen in Star Wars).
