Two MUR (Moscow Department of Criminal Investigations) officers - Gleb Zheglov (Vladimir Vysotsky) and Vladimir Sharapov (Vladimir Konkin) - investigate the murder of a young actress and hunt for a gang of robbers calling itself "Black Cat".
