Aces: Iron Eagle III is the third installment of the Iron Eagle film series. Helmed by veteran James Bond director John Glen, the 1992 sequel follows retired USAF Colonel Charles "Chappy" Sinclair (Louis Gossett Jr.), who now is part of an air show that features vintage World War II planes. He then finds himself joining forces with three fellow World War II pilots and a young Peruvian villager in order to take down a former Nazi war criminal who now is heading a drug cartel in Peru.
The following weapons were used in the film Aces: Iron Eagle III:
Handguns
M1911A1
Chappy carries an M1911A1 pistol while searching for Anna.
Nambu Type 14
Horikoshi (Sonny Chiba) carries what appears to be a Nambu Type 14 Pistol before entering an apartment.
Rifles/Carbines
AK-47
What appears to be an AK-47 is used by Tee Vee (Phill Lewis), notably when hung upside down from a tree.
Colt Commando CAR-15
Anna Morales (Rachel McLish) uses what appears to be a CAR-15-style carbine. A similar carbine is used by Escovez (Juan Fernández).
M16A1 Rifle
Some cartel soldiers can be seen carrying M16A1 rifles.
M16A1 (with M16A2 handguards)
Several M16A1 rifles fitted with M16A2-style handguards are used by DEA agents including Agent Warren Crawford (Tom Bower).
Machine Guns
M60D Machine Gun
The M60D machine gun is seen mounted in enemy gun positions.
Browning M2 Aircraft
The P38 Lightning flown by Chappy is armed with quad Browning M2 Aircraft machine guns. Both the RAF Submarine Spitfire flown by Palmer (Christopher Cazenove) and the Messerschmitt BF-109 flown by Liechmann (Horst Buchholz) are armed with what appear to be Browning M2 guns (in reality, the BF-109 was a modified P51 Mustang). The machine gun is also mounted in enemy gun positions.
Messerschmit 263 Cannon (M134)
Gustav Kleiss (Paul Freeman) flies a prototype Messerschmit 263 (in reality the aircraft was a Scaled Composites ARES) that is armed with six-barreled rotary cannon. When seen fired in closeup, the weapon resembles an M134 minigun.
Shotguns
12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun
A short barreled 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun is used by TeeVee.
Other
DefTech 1315 Gas Gun
The DefTech 1315 Gas Gun is carried by Palmer (Christopher Cazenove) in his Spitfire. He uses it to great effect when confronting a Peruvian Air Force jet.
