The Honey Badger was originally designed by Kevin Brittingham during his time in AAC as a modern AR15 style alternative to the HK MP5SD. The weapon was designed in conjunction with a new caliber - .300 AAC Blackout that can be fired effectively suppressed and unsuppressed from a very short barrel with better terminal results and improved sound signature than a 9mm round. AAC was then sold to Remington and the Honey Badger was never commercialized. Brittingham then resurrected the project at his new company - Q, which now manufacturer and sale the weapon. The Honey Badger is available in both .300 AAC Blackout and 5.56mm.
