24: Legacy is an upcoming continuation of the 24 franchise. Corey Hawkins stars as Eric Carter, a ex-Army Ranger who has returned home after conducting an assault on the base of Terrorist Ibrahim Bin Khalid under the orders of, now former, CTU director Rebecca Ingram (Miranda Otto). who must once again work together to foil a terrorist attack on American soil. This series is not set to feature any previous characters or storylines, other than the Counter Terrorism Unit, however, Kiefer Sutherland is set to return as executive producer. The series will premiere after the Super Bowl in 2017.

One of the first television appearances of this particular weapon, the Beretta M9A3 appears to be the sidearm carried by Eric Carter (Corey Hawkins). Nicole Carter (Anna Diop), Eric's wife, is also seen firing the weapon in the trailer.
