10 Cloverfield Lane is a 2016 psychological thriller directed by Dan Trachtenberg. The film follows a young woman named Michelle (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) who is rescued from a car accident by a man named Howard (John Goodman) and has brought her to his underground bunker on his rural Lousiana farm. Howard explains to Michelle that there has been an attack, causing the air to be contaminated. However, there seems to be more to the situation than it appears. The film also stars John Gallagher Jr. and Bradley Cooper makes a brief voice cameo. While it is not a direct sequel, '10 Cloverfield Lane' is connected to the original Cloverfield through Bold Futura, a subsidiary of Tagruato (the company that had accidentally awakened Clover in the original film), and a Slusho! sign appears in a gas station at the beginning of the film. Slusho! was another Tagruato subsidiary, which Rob in Cloverfield was going to Japan to work for.
