Jason's heart was actually made from gelatin and filled with fruit cocktail from the food table mixed with black dye. However the actor for the Coroner, Richard Gant was still disgusted and is said to have nearly vomited during the scene. Jason's heart was reportedly used in From Dusk Till Dawn as the Monkey Man's heart.
