The following guns were used in the film He Was A Quiet Man:

Rossi Model 462

Bob Maconel (Christian Slater) has a Rossi Model 462 in the beginning of the movie as he contemplates shooting his co-workers in his office building. He ends up using it to shoot a fellow co-worker who had the same idea. Not a positie identification, see bottom of section for more information.

I'd say its a Smith & Wesson Model 627. - Gunmaster45

Nah check the picture where he's not gripping it tight, the grip is that of a Rossi, the specific model unknown by me. It's definitely not a Smith though. ~Yournamehere

I've been looking around a lot and I agree that this revolver is definitely a Rossi. Pictures of Rossi's aren't very common on the internet, so I had a hard time narrowing down a model name. It looks a lot like the Rossi Model 462 or possibly a Model 712/718. The Model 972 looks close too. The Model 718 is (from what I've read) a .38 special with 4" barrels, but I'm not sure if that is exclusive or not. Knowing what caliber the revolver is would help to narrow down the possibilities. I've narrowed down a lot because a lot of models are 5 shots, not 6. If it's .357, I'm almost positive it's a Rossi Model 462. If it's a .38 special, and the Model 718's have differnet barrel lengths, I'd have to say it's the Model 718.

Unknown Smith and Wesson?

Ralf Coleman uses this revolver to shoot his fellow co-workers.

Unknown Revolver

Bob Maconel has this revolver in his home. Could possibly be a longer barrel version of the Smith and Wesson Model 686.

Mossberg 500 "Cruiser"

Bob Maconel keeps a Mossberg 500 "Cruiser" shotgun in his home, and fetches it along with his revolver when the press is surrounding his house.
