Just because it is said to be a Remington 870 in the book does not mean it will be an 870 in the movie. Movies miss details from the books they are based off all the time. For example in ''No Country for Old Men,'' Llewelyn's rifle is described as a Mauser rifle, but in the movie adaptation Llewelyn uses a Remington 700. --[[User:SmithandWesson36|SmithandWesson36]] 12:08, 29 April 2012 (CDT)

Just about to post the same thing. So it does not mean that the shotgun is actually a 870, we will see when the movie comes out. In the meantime should we just call it unknown shotgun? Also about the M1911, just because of the beavertail and hammer, it doesn't necessarily mean that it's a Kimber either, it's not that hard to get a M1911 modified with those parts. Remington 870
