The Cartel Boxart.jpg

Call of Juarez: The Cartel is an upcoming game from Techland. It will be the third game in the Call of Juarez series. Unexpectedly, the game will ditch the American West setting for a present day setting. The game begins when a police department in Los Angeles is bombed by a drug cartel, killing hundreds. The federal government is now in fear that a simple drug cartel could breach a federal building. The government then makes a last ditch effort to stop the Mendoza Cartel once and for all. Three law enforcement agents (Ben McCall, Eddie Guerra, and Kim Evans) track the cartel from Los Angeles, California, to Juarez, Mexico (A previous setting for the series). They start in Los Angeles where they bust a meth lab in the Sequoia National Forest, and go on a bloody road trip through Arizona, New Mexico, and finally Juarez, Mexico.

These are the weapons assumed to be in the game:

Desert Eagle Mark I

In a trailer entitled "Map Introduction", artwork of Eddie wielding two Desert Eagles is shown. In a interview for Call of Juarez: The Cartel, gameplay footage shows a nightclub owner named Jesús brandishing a Desert Eagle before being disarmed and apprehended.

Sawn-Off Colt 1878 Shotgun

An engraved sawn off shotgun with exposed hammers is seen being wielded by Ben McCall. It is possible that like the previous games it is based off the Colt 1878.

Franchi SPAS-12

In screenshots, Ben McCall (A LAPD Homicide Detective, and veteran of the Vietnam War) is shown with a SPAS 12 shotgun without the foldable stock. Eddie can also be seen using another SPAS with the stock unfolded in an interview. This (along with the two version of the 92FS (one is a standard model, and one is a two-tone)), highly suggests that the weapons in this game will have multiple weapon models (Similar to the recent Medal of Honor game).

Steyr TMP

On the official game's website, Ben McCall is seen with a Steyr TMP with an extremely large suppressor. It is called the "tactical machine pistol" in game. This will be a pre-order exclusive (Although many fans claim that it will still be in standard versions (The same thing happened in Bound in Blood, but the "exclusive" was still available in non pre-order games).
