:Well, it wasn't nearly as strong a design as the Winchesters, and didn't have Winchester's marketing machine backing it up. The company actually folded in 1890 and Bannerman's bought the design, but they were never all well built as the original Spencers. That said they were at least somewhat commercially sucessful, enough were made that you can still find them. And since they're pretty ugly by modern standards and not all that famous, they're not that expensive. - [[User:Nyles|Nyles]]

Well, it wasn't nearly as strong a design as the Winchesters, and didn't have Winchester's marketing machine backing it up. The company actually folded in 1890 and Bannerman's bought the design, but they were never all well built as the original Spencers. That said they were at least somewhat commercially sucessful, enough were made that you can still find them. And since they're pretty ugly by modern standards and not all that famous, they're not that expensive. - Nyles
