The Equalizer was a television spy series that starred Edward Woodward as Robert McCall, a disillusioned US government spy who decides to leave "The Company" and use his skills to "equalize" the odds for citizens who call upon his help in the city of New York. Airing on CBS for four seasons from 1985 to 1989, the series is notable for its authentic New York filming locations and for the casting of several future stars, including Christian Slater, Kim Delaney, Joe Morton, Tony Shalhoub, Kevin Spacey, Will Patton and Vincent D'Onofrio.
