The film stars Aaron Kwok as Gao Jianxiang, a Chinese police officer working in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, who accidentally runs over and kills a pedestrian on the way to his mother's funeral. The film follows his attempt to hide the incident from his family and the police, as he is blackmailed by a mysterious individual claiming to have witnessed the accident. The film is a remake of the 2014 Korean film A Hard Day, and is also the first of multiple international remakes of the film.
